In July 2024, a delegation composed of representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development and several project implementation partners for energy efficiency in Madagascar visited the districts of Lalangina and Antsirabe II. They met with the NGO Tandavanala team and visited various sites, including the improved cookstove manufacturing workshop in Ankapila, Fianarantsoa, and households using improved cookstoves in Ivoamba (Lalangina) and Andranomanelatra (Antsirabe).
The delegation also participated in the launch event for the redistribution of improved cookstoves for the second crediting period, affecting approximately 14,000 households in the Lalangina District (Matsiatra Region).
Rich in information and discovery of Madagascar’s highland regions, the field visits also allowed an appreciation of the impacts of the energy efficiency project (improved cookstoves) in Madagascar, both environmentally and in terms of sustainable development at the community level.
